What is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda translates to "science/knowledge of life", which originated in ancient India 3000-5000 years ago. It is considered a "sister science" of Yoga, as the two systems work beautifully together to encourage the wellbeing of whole human; mind, body and spirit.

 

Ayurveda focuses strongly on nutritional, herbal, physical and spiritual practices, and lifestyle methods to promote health and healing.  It recognises humans are unique, and often out of balance, and everyones path towards balance is different and changes throughout their lifetime. Ayurveda provides practical and accessible tools to supports an individual through their daily life, and on their entire journey through life.
